Balcony Workout
11 October 2018
Harrietta Taylor stands on a whitewashed balcony high above a sweeping hillside, the distant blue of a lake or sea shimmering on the horizon as she drapes a lime-green towel over one shoulder and clutches a water bottle in her free hand. She wears a white sports bra and tiny white drawstring shorts that glow against her tanned skin, white trainers with neon-yellow soles completing the fresh, athletic look. Her long, caramel-and-honey ombré waves fall in thick curls past her shoulders, catching the overcast coastal light, while dark, expressive eyes and sculpted cheekbones give her an almost editorial quality. She drops to all fours on a green exercise mat, the white shorts pulled taut over her perfectly round behind, her toned arms braced as she looks straight into the lens with smoky intensity. The panoramic backdrop and the bleached-white architecture make the whole scene feel suspended between earth and sky.
The sports bra lifts away to reveal Harrietta's pert breasts, her bare torso lean and sculpted as she turns to face the sweeping view, one hand resting on the balustrade. The green towel hangs from her fingertips, a single splash of colour against all that white, her naked back a graceful S-curve that draws the eye from her delicate shoulder blades to the dimples at the base of her spine. She glances over her shoulder with parted lips, the wind catching her hair, the white shorts still clinging low on her hips as the landscape unfolds beneath her. Balcony Workout is less about exercise and more about elevation, Harrietta poised between the vast, hazy sky and the cool stone beneath her feet, her body a study in natural beauty lit by soft, diffused light that turns every frame into something you would hang on a gallery wall.
