On The Way Out
05 May 2022
Hayley-Marie Coppin pauses at an open French door, framed through the white-painted balusters of a cottage staircase, her black sheer-striped crop top and pastel pink jeans the only colour between the dark banister and the bright garden beyond. A white headband pushes her blonde hair from her face, and the peek-a-boo glimpse through the spindles gives the opening the thrill of something you were not quite meant to see. Inside, a gilt-framed mirror hangs above a brocade sofa heaped with velvet cushions, fringed curtains pool on the floor, and the room hums with the faded glamour of an English country house. On The Way Out catches Hayley at the threshold, one foot in and one foot out, and the set unfolds in that suspended moment.
She settles onto the brocade sofa and lifts the sheer top over her head, her pert, neatly proportioned breasts catching the daylight that spills through the open door. The pink jeans unbutton next, and Hayley rises to stand in the doorway itself, her slim, taut back to the camera, a white thong the only scrap of fabric between her body and the garden air. The jeans sit halfway down her slender thighs, and her small, tight bum is framed perfectly by the door frame as green hedges and the stone terrace blur behind her. One palm presses flat against the glass, and the pose carries the quiet, stolen quality of a woman about to step outside and never quite getting there. The cottage will miss her.
