Say Something
20 July 2023
Danielle Maye hooks one foot on the rung of a black metal stool and lets the words do the talking, literally. Her white muscle tank reads "Good Vibes Only" and her matching leggings are covered in a collage of black typography: motivational slogans, bold numbers, and hand-drawn script running from waistband to ankle. The exposed London brick behind her is raw and unpolished, and Danielle matches its energy: teal-green streaks flame through her long blonde hair, tattooed sleeves cover both arms, and her jaw is set with the quiet assurance of a woman who has plenty to say. Black heels add a dash of polish to the downtown-gym aesthetic, and her sturdy, shapely legs look incredible in the printed white lycra.
Danielle lifts the tank and the words fall silent. Her large, beautifully shaped breasts spill free, heavy and proud, as she peels the white fabric upward and tosses it aside. She works the typography-covered leggings down over her wide hips and thick thighs, the text warping and stretching as the fabric gives way. In the final frame she stands barefoot against the brick, completely nude, holding the bunched leggings at hip height like a banner, her soft stomach, full breasts, and inked arms all on display with zero hesitation. The motivational words are now in a crumpled heap in her hands, and Danielle does not need them. She is the statement.
